Dr. Smith earned his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has been a practicing veterinarian since 1992. He is a dedicated advocate for the precious bond shared between a pet and a pet parent. This is very much reflected in the high level of care Dr. Smith brings to the patients he treats.

Dr. Smith spent several years as the Medical Director at a general practice before making the move to emergency medicine in 2009. Since then he has served as the Medical Director at an emergency/specialty practice and provided relief services to many hospitals in PA.

Dr. Smith has been providing relief services to Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center for the last three years and joined us as our Medical Director in 2017.
