Dr. Christopher Smith
Dr. Smith earned his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has been a practicing veterinarian since 1992. He is a dedicated advocate for the precious bond shared between a pet and a pet parent. This is very much reflected in the high level of care Dr. Smith brings to the patients he treats.
Dr. Smith spent several years as the Medical Director at a general practice before making the move to emergency medicine in 2009. Since then he has served as the Medical Director at an emergency/specialty practice and provided relief services to many hospitals in PA.
Dr. Smith has been providing relief services to Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center for the last three years and joined us as our Medical Director in 2017.
In his free time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his three children and fishing for small mouth bass in the many rivers and streams of Central Pennsylvania.
Dr. Christine Bunner
Dr. Christine Bunner joins us from Pittsburgh. She is a 2007 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her clinical studies were completed at the Ohio State University. She had received her bachelors of science in Animal Science from Michigan State University as well as her Masters degree from Michigan State’s School of Veterinary Medicine in Epidemiology. In Dr. Bunner’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her pugs, taking interest in the breed. She also enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, running/hiking, traveling, sports, and cheering on her Pittsburgh teams, the Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers!
Dr. Sharon K. Matter
Sharon K. Matter, DVM, grew up in Central, PA and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 20 years. She is a 1996 graduate of VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced emergency medicine in Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. Outside interests include hiking with her four rescue dogs, playing with her adopted cat, and supporting humane efforts.
Dr. MJ Potter
Dr. MJ Potter, VMD, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and her master’s from Temple University, before earning her VMD degree at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated cum laude. She has 18 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a primary focus on emergency and critical care. Dr. Potter also has an interest in oncology, internal medicine and surgery and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She lives on a farm, where she raises horses, cattle, sheep, chickens and her favorite: a ock of peacocks. Dr. Potter also competes every year at Devon Horse Show in the carriage driving competition.
Dr. Kimberly Ferretti
Dr. Kimberly Ferritti earned her B.S. in Biology at James Madison University in 1996, followed by her D.V.M at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Between her degrees, Dr. Ferretti worked in the veterinary field as both an emergency technician and a feline specialty technician in Washington, DC.
Upon graduating from veterinary school she moved to the Central Pennsylvania area where she has worked as a general practitioner and an emergency clinician for almost 12 years. Dr. Ferretti's veterinary interest include neurology, opthalmology, critical care and clinical pathology.
In her spare time Dr. Ferretti enjoys reading, movies, traveling and sports - especially the New York Yankees and Penn State Ice Hockey. She lives in Millheim with her two children, a cat named Fletch, three hounds and a french bulldog.
Dr. Kelsey Meyer
Kelsey M. Meyer, DVM is originally from Rockville Maryland. She attended the University of Mary Washington for her bachelors degree and then proceeded to graduate magna cum laude from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, after completing her clinical year at University of Florida. Dr. Meyer’s interests include emergency medicine as well as working with small pocket pets and reptiles. She enjoys spending time with friends & family, photography, video games, and traveling in her spare time. Dr. Meyer joined the Rosmoyne team in July 2017.
Dr. Aaron Raski
Aaron Raski DVM attended Pennsylvania State University and went on to complete his veterinary degree at Ross University in 2013. He has been practicing emergency medicine and doing relief for local general practices since. Dr. Raski has a special interest in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery and pain management. He joined the team at Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center in July 2017.

Jonathan Goodwin, DVM, DACVIM/Cardiology
Dr. Jonathan Goodwin is orginally from Detroit Michigan. He attended Cornell University where he earned a degree in Animal Science. He went on to obtain his doctoral degree from Tuskegee University. Dr. Goodwin then completed a small animal rotation in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Coral Springs Animal Hospital in Florida. He completed a Masters degree and Cardiology Residency at Purdue University. Dr. Goodwin is available at Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center on Mondays to see patients.
Salvador Galindo, DVM
Practice Limited to Surgery
Dr. Galindo has extensive experience and specialized training in a broad range of orthopedic procedures including fracture repair, TPLO, TTA, Total Hip Replacement, TPO and Interlocking Nail. He also has advanced training and experience in soft tissue surgery, which includes Laryngeal Paralysis, Cardiovascular, Urninay System and Plastic Reconstruction Surgeries. Dr. Galindo is a graduate of the University of Autonomous of Tamaulipas Mexico and has completed his veterinary degree certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinarian Graduates by the AVMA at Purdue University. He went on to complete his Surgical Residency in 2009 at the Small Animal Surgery Department in Malvern, PA. Dr. Galindo is available to see patients at Rossmoyne Animal Emergency Trauma Center on Tuesdays.
